At a festival of plant-based food and local products, exhibitors showed off locally-made goods, accompanied by cooking demonstrations and health-based discussions.

VegWinterfest took place March 1 at Lewes Public Library, an annual event sponsored by VegRehoboth, which holds its flagship event, Rehoboth Beach VegFest in May, continues to be a leader in showing Delawareans the benefits of plant-based products, for the health of the body and for the planet.

The event was free and lunch was provided by Grandpa Mac. Along with the array of vendors, Grandpa Mac’s award-winning chef, Hari Cameron, offered a cooking demonstration, Dr. Darlene Latta and Dr. Katelin Haley discussed the connection between mind and body health, and Patricia Haddock displayed how to eat a plant-based diet on a budget.
