Tennis star Novak Djokovic recently shared health tips while on a vegan diet. He spoke to the outlet Telegraf to share his health tips in light of the coronavirus.

He told the outlet that he drinks green smoothies full of leafy vegetables like kale, spinach and parsley. Vegetables help keep the body alkaline. You can do the same with recipes like these:


Djokovic also shared a recommendation to increase zinc and Vitamin C. Zinc helps with your immune system. To get zinc on a vegan diet, consider increasing beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, oats and wheat germ. Vitamin C helps with inflammation and can help fight colds. According to The Sun, the star said in early 2020 of his diet, “But as an athlete, it became something more—the fuel that determines how I play, how I recover and how alert I am on the court. I attribute a great deal of my professional success to my diet.”
