To date, 6,899 patients have been hospitalized in Minnesota. According to MDH, there were 929 newly reported positive COVID-19 tests in Minnesota on Saturday, bringing the state’s total to 83,588 since pandemic record-keeping began. According to the Johns Hopkins Center for Systems Science and Engineering, the virus has infected more than 28.5 million people worldwide and killed about 916,478 people. About 19 million people worldwide have recovered as of Saturday. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, patients with confirmed COVID-19 have mild to severe respiratory problems, with symptoms of fever, cough and shortness of breath. Some patients report having muscle aches, headache, sore throat, and/or chills and shaking.
