Alan Halsall has undergone an epic transformation in the last few years – from a cuddly Coronation Street character to the hunky dad-of-one we see today.
Since calling it quits on his marriage to co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson in 2018, the 37-year-old has transformed every aspect of his life and with it came an impressive makeover and increased trips to the gym.
Now, Alan has moved into a new home with his current partner Tisha Merry and fans have even called for him to propose to his doting girlfriend.
But his impressive fitness journey has taken some serious hard work.
Alan, better known for the character of Tyrone Dobbs in the hit ITV soap, has starred on the show since 1998.
At that time, he wasn’t best known for stripping off whilst on on the dramatic show, and by the end of the noughties he had wed his gorgeous co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson after meeting her on the Coronation Street set.
He embarked on his health trip after the breakdown of his relationship, with the pair agreeing to call time on their romance in April 2018.
Turning his attention to exercise as he learnt the ropes of co-parenting his daughter, the doting dad reportedly began hitting the gym at least three times a week.
Some months after his split, he had enlisted the help of a personal trainer and admitted that people had begun to notice his body transformation.
“I like to come (to the gym). I have a pre-workout meal, I work out, then I have a post-workout meal or a swim and a steam,” he told The Sun .
He even encouraged fellow co-stars Colson Smith and Sam Aston – better known as Craig Tinker and Chesney Brown on the show – to get on board with the fitness kick, and frequently shows off snaps of him and the fellow Corrie actors hitting the rowing machines.
By summer 2018, Alan was proudly showing off a trim figure as he lapped up the sunshine in Ibiza.
Writing the caption, “1st time in Ibiza,” alongside a topless picture of himself, the Corrie hunk caught the attention of fans following his drastic new look.
“Looking good honey,” wrote one impressed fan at the time.
At the beginning of 2019, Alan made no secret of a different part of his appearance that he was changing up.
The actor took to social media to reveal he had an appointment for a second hair transplant.
“Off for transplant no2 tomorrow can’t wait. Hope you’re on good form @bessamfarjo,” he wrote at the time.
He went on to explain that it’s ‘not something to be ashamed of’ and used his social media platform to shed more light on the topic.
“Since I had my first a few years ago I’ve spoken with so many men who have confidence issues etc because of their hair, maybe this will let some of them know they have options and people have it done all the time,” he said.
Alan has maintained his fit new lifestyle as his romance with Tisha Merry continued to blossom.
