Conor McGregor looks bigger and meaner than ever before as he prepares for his impending rematch with Dustin Poirier.

However, ‘The Notorious’ may want to consider toning down his sessions just a touch if he wants to heed Dana White’s warning.

McGregor and White are currently at odds with one another

McGregor, a former two-weight world champion, returned to action in January when he knocked out Donald Cerrone in just 40 seconds.

But his plan to fight three or four times in 2020 as part of his ‘season’ were disrupted due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

In June, he decided to retire from fighting once again, although a boxing match with Manny Pacquiao or a return to the octagon to rematch Dustin Poirier seem on course for 2021.

The 32-year-old is clearly still in fighting shape and looks bigger and more ripped than fans have ever seen him before and he showed off the results of his latest endeavours on Instagram.

Despite his hulking new frame, McGregor will need to make sure he can still hit the lightweight limit of 155lbs for the proposed Poirier fight on January 23.

White told BT Sport the fight ‘means nothing’ if it happens at 170lbs or even a catchweight.

“I’m not putting on a freaking multi-million dollar fight at a catch weight that means nothing,” he remarked. “That fight means nothing at 170.

“Neither one of those two are ranked at 170 pounds and it doesn’t do anything in the [155] pound division if either one of them win cause they’re fighting at 170. It literally makes no sense.”

“We’ve offered the fight. We got him his own date,” White said about McGregor’s return. “That wasn’t a date, that date didn’t exist.

“We worked with ESPN, we got him his own date and we’ve offered them the fight.

“I know that contracts haven’t been signed yet. Conor likes to play games. Conor plays games and he does his thing.

“One thing Conor doesn’t do, Conor doesn’t commit to a fight and then not fight. Conor fights.”
