Bryson DeChambeau sealed his sixth PGA Tour win on Sunday night with a three-shot victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic – and his incredible body transformation has already paid off.

The world No.7, formerly known as the ‘Mad Scientist’ for his intellectual approach to the game, added 20 pounds of muscle to his figure during the COVID-19 break, which has led to some fans renaming him ‘The Incredible Bulk’.

During the three-month hiatus, he also packed a ridiculous amount of speed into his golf swing, resulting in some truly monstrous distance off the tee.

Last week in Michigan, the 26-year-old comfortably led the field in driving distance, averaging more than 350 yards with the big stick.

Swinging at speeds of up to 196mph with 240 pounds of weight behind it, DeChambeau was taking aim at the green on multiple par 4s, hitting drives up to 376 yards in length – which is just insane.

To put his size into context, DeChambeau is now almost identical in weight to heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua.

And despite his gung-ho approach, DeChambeau hits it straight. The American led the field in strokes gained off the tee, and also had the best putting stats last week.

It’s easy to see why fellow PGA Tour pro Eddie Pepperell is considering giving up altogether…

Justin Rose, who has played alongside DeChambeau since the restart, says he has seen a ‘massive difference’ in the American’s game.

“I saw a massive difference — one in his physique for sure,” Rose remarked.

“I mean, he’s huge. I played with Dustin Johnson and I’m not small. But at 6ft 3ins and 190 pounds, I kind of felt pretty small out on the golf course.

“You can tell the practice swings are very intentional. He’s looking for speed. He’s obviously trained speed.

“But the other elements of his game still look in control. So it looks like he’s definitely added a couple of weapons for sure.”
