Alex Perry may be known for his reputable designs, but the celebrity stylist has also been turning heads over his super ripped physique – enough to make a body builder envious.
The 57-year-old took Instagram on Sunday flaunting his broad shoulders, muscular chest and bulging biceps as he posed in a tight grey singlet.
While Perry has been working on his body transformation for some time, regularly posting pictures of his training sessions at the gym, he is no doubt looking even more buff.
Perhaps it’s all those “iso workouts”.
“Going to the gym and working out just keeps me in peak physical and mental condition for whatever I’m faced with in the fashion industry,” he previously told SBS.
The Australian-born Greek designer famed for his blue steel poses on TV and sunnies said when it comes to achieving fitness goals, it was important to be “consistent in your diet and exercise”, adding it’s “the way you can avoid the middle-aged spread”.
“In the beginning, I didn’t look at exercise and training as a science. Sure, I would train hard back then but I didn’t eat well afterwards,” he told the publication in 2017.
Fast-forward three years, Perry has proved consistency and a healthy diet has worked for him — and it hasn’t gone unnoticed with his 127,000 Instagram followers congratulating him on his health transformation.
“Looking good there AP,” one fan wrote on one of his fitness snaps.
“Looked at you all buffed and beautiful,” added another.
“Those guns!” a third commented.
But while the designer is rocking his best body yet, it hasn’t come with out its fair share of hurdles and challenges.
“After the initial year of going to the gym, I grew to hate it and I had to drag myself there,” he told SBS. “But I really enjoy it now.”
The biggest change to his body came when he stuck to a clean diet during the week.
“I might fancy some spanakopita or a piece of apple pie during the week. But I wait until the weekend to enjoy it.”
